Challenge

The Australian Aluminium Council (AAC) are the peak body representing the Australian aluminium industry. They initially approached Voodoo requiring an update to their online image to keep it in line with the professional stature of their organisation. The design strategy used was also required to be easily translated to further mediums in the future.

Process

Voodoo aimed to design a site that provided a professional visual foundation that was eye-catching and engaging. The site had a number of hierarchical navigational requirements and would house a large quantity of content, including a media release archive. The simple and striking design took into account all of these needs.

Following the site launch, Voodoo employed the new aesthetic to develop a publication template for the council's annual Sustainability Report.

Result

The AAC team and executive committee were extremely impressed with the outcome of the website. Voodoo incorporated semantic development techniques to facilitate effective search engine optimisation (SEO). This combined with good website management by the council has increased site traffic and their online presence.

Further to this, the council are now able to produce their Sustainability Report in-house, while still maintaining the integrity of their brand.
